ABOUT US
THINKING ABOUT BECOMING A DISTRICT ONE MEMBER?
On a district level, members run for day money at races and accumulate points for fabulous year-end awards; in the past, this has included saddles, buckles, top of the line saddle pads, and much more. On a state level, you have the opportunity to qualify to run at State Finals in Moses Lake, an exciting and fun-filled weekend with added money and average awards.
WANT TO JOIN DISTRICT ONE AND QUALIFY FOR YEAR END AWARDS?
District One has a one-time awards fee of $35 in the Open and $25 per class for Youth and Senior. To qualify for year-end awards, members must attend six (6) District One races, co-sanctioned or sanctioned, per entered class. Members may apply for Year End awards at any District One race. Points and race count will not be awarded until awards fees are paid.
COME OUT, RACE, AND HAVE A GOOD TIME!
We are a volunteer run organization with no worker requirement. We welcome assistance in the office, on arena crew, setting barrels, and working the gate, but we understand that you may not be able to dedicate yourself at every race. If you are able to do so, please lend a hand when possible. All our races are run by volunteers; the more help we have, the faster and smoother a race will be had!
HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR THE STATE NWBHA MEMBERSHIP?
You can fill out the form available online and send it in with your payment. Once you have a membership you will start accumulating your races to compete at State Finals in Moses Lake! NWBHA – Northwest Barrel Horse Association (nwnbha.com)
